Use the Apono Teams app to request access
If your admin has integrated Apono with Teams, you can use Teams to request, view, and receive permission to services, databases, and applications that are centrally managed through Apono.
Requesting access with Teams offers several benefits:
Streamline access requests to resources without navigating complex IT systems
Centralize access visibility to view pending approvals and current permissions

You can request access to specific resources, an integration, or a bundle in Teams.
A resources request lets you select specific resources and permissions from all available items across cloud environments. Upon submission, Apono separates the form into individual requests based on each resource's access flow.
Follow these steps to request access to resources:
In the Teams menu, click My Requests > New Request. The New Request page appears.
(Optional) On the Resources Request tab, in the Resources field, enter the name of a resource.
(Optional) Apply one or both filters to refine the list of resources.
From the Resource Type dropdown menu, select one or several resource types to filter the list of resources.
From the Permission dropdown menu, select one or several permissions to filter the list of resources.
Select one or several resources. You can select a maximum of 1,000 resources.
Enter the Duration (in Hours) that you want to have access to the resource.
Enter a Justification explaining why you are requesting access to the resource.
Click Request. The request will appear with its status on the Open Requests or Closed Requests tab.
You will also receive a notification through Teams.
Follow these steps to request access to an integration:
In the Teams menu, click My Requests > New Request. The New Request page appears.
If you previously saved an integration request as a favorite, on the Favorites tab, click Use Favorite. The New Request appears with populated information. Use steps 2-9 to adjust and submit the request.
On the Integration Request tab, select an Integration.
Select a Resource type. The available options depend upon the selected integration.
Select one or more Resources. The available options depend upon the selected resource type.
Select one or more Permissions. The available options depend upon the selected resources. You are only able to request permissions defined by your admin’s access flow.
Enter the Duration (in Hours) that you want to have access to the resource.
Enter a Justification explaining why you are requesting access to the resource.
(Optional) Save this request as a favorite to reuse in the future:
Click Add to Favorites. The Name this saved favorite popup window appears.
Enter a name.
Click Add to Favorites. The access request will appear on the Favorites tab.
Click Request. The request will appear with its status on the Open Requests or Closed Requests tab.
You will also receive a notification through Teams.
Follow these steps to request access to a bundle:
In the Teams menu, click My Requests > New Request. The New Request page appears.
On the Bundle Request tab, select a Bundle.
Under Resources, Select all resources in the bundle.
You can select specific resources within a bundle:
In the Resources search field, enter the name of a resource.
(Optional) From the Resource Type dropdown menu, select one or several resource types to filter the list of resources.
(Optional) From the Permission dropdown menu, select one or several permissions to filter the list of resources.
Select one or several resources.
Click Show selected to display only the selected resources.
Enter the Duration (in Hours) that you want to have access to the resource.
Enter a Justification explaining why you are requesting access to the resource.
Click Request. The request will appear with its status on the Open Requests or Closed Requests tab.
You will also receive a notification through Teams.
If your access has expired, been revoked, or been rejected, you can request the same access again.
Follow these steps to request access to resources, an integration, or a bundle:
On the Closed Requests tab, in the row of your desired request, click Request again. A popup window appears.
Enter a Justification explaining why you are resubmitting the request.
Click Submit. The request will appear with its status on the Open Requests or Closed Requests tab.
You will also receive a notification through Teams.\
If your access is approved and granted, you will receive a Teams message from Apono. The access request will appear as Granted in your Requests screen. You can use this information to access the requested resources.
Follow these steps to use your access details:
On the My Requests page, select the request.
Click View Details. A popup appears displaying your access details.
Copy the access details.
For sensitive resources, access details will only appear once. If you return to the View Details popup to retrieve the details again, you will be required to reset the credentials.
Follow the instructions provided by the details to access the resource.
Pending Approval
The request is waiting for the approver to approve or reject the request.
Requests with this status appear on the Open Requests tab.
Granting
The request has been approved. Apono is provisioning the access.
Requests with this status appear on the Open Requests tab.
Granted or Active
Access has been provisioned. You can access the resource.
Follow these steps to access the resource:
On the My Access page, click Access Details for the resource. A popup window appears.
Follow the instructions to access the resource.
Requests in this status appear on the Open Requests tab and My Access page. You will also receive a notification through Teams.
Expired
The access duration has elapsed. Your access is revoked.
Rejected
The request has been rejected either automatically or by approvers.
Requests with this status appear on the Closed Requests tab. Hover over the status to read the rejection reason written by the approver.
Revoked
An admin has removed your resource access.
Requests with this status appear on the Closed Requests tab.
Failed
An error has occurred with your request. Contact your admin.
Requests with this status appear on the Closed Requests tab.
You can verify that you have access by going to the or contacting your administrator to obtain a user account.
